Another way to hang ornaments

I was not decorating again I swear, I just figured that this would be a really effective way to decide if we were going to be able to stand having a pot rack. That is plausible right?

I started with this blank canvas

This is pine garland that has wire in it that I got at the ARC for $2.99

I wrapped an end around the top and then went back and forth and at each end I wrapped it all the way around before going across again.

This is what it looked like when the garland was finished. 

The two snowflakes were tree toppers, and the two stars were things I had gotten on clearance from Pottery Barn years ago, and the mirrored star I got at Walmart when I still shopped there.
